Sao Paulo's Modern Art Museum - MAM

A prestigious palette.
Sao Paulo's Modern Art Museum, or MAM, was founded in 1948 as an initiative of Francisco Matarazzo Sobrinho and his wife, famed aristocrat and art-patron Yolanda Penteado.
Established in Ibirapuera Park, the MAM was one of the first establishments dedicated to modern art in the country, its development inspired by the MoMA in New York. Here you can admire a wealth of artwork from such masters as Anita Malfatti, Aldo Bonadei, Alfredo Volpi, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti, José António da Silva, Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Mario Zanini, the legendary Pablo Picasso and even Raoul Dufy.
