The University de São Paulo museum, known as the Ipiranga Museum, is part of the Independence park.
It is the largest museum on the State campus, and one of the most visited in the town.
The history of Sao Paulo is recounted through over 125.000 objects, jewels, coins, furniture and sculpture, from the 16th to the 20th century.
